Its ME!!

About Me

Hi, I’m Mike Moore – a Lead Network Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer with over 13 years of experience building, securing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure.

What I Do

I currently work at a Fortune 1000 firm, where I manage complex multi-site environments including F5 BIG-IP load balancers, Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper routers, and Arista switches. My role has evolved from pure network engineering into a hybrid Network SRE position, where I combine traditional networking expertise with modern observability, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.

My Philosophy

I believe in understanding the “why” behind technology, not just the “how.” Whether it’s troubleshooting a BGP routing issue or optimizing TCP performance, I dig deep into the fundamentals. If I can’t explain it simply, I don’t really understand it – and I’m not satisfied until I do.

The Homelab

I run an extensive homelab under the NetworkingTitan brand, featuring:

  • XCP-ng virtualization clusters
  • Docker containerization for services and experiments
  • Comprehensive monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
  • Network automation tools and API integrations
  • Production-grade infrastructure that mirrors enterprise environments

My homelab isn’t just a playground – it’s a learning laboratory where I test concepts, break things safely, and develop skills that translate directly to production environments.
